Frank Campbell will be testing for the performance end of his J.S. with Jim Crowell while at The Branson Hammer-In this weekend.

All my best.

I wish him good luck Gary. Will it be at the show or at your house? If he is willing, it can be a good learning experience for attendees.

He's going to do it at the show. I'll post the time so anyone interested can watch.

Frank said to me on Saturday of the event that he wanted to use his test knife in the cutting competition which he did and was one of only two people to cut the hanging two inch rope. Without re-sharpening, he then tested with the knife on Sunday under the watchful eye of Jim Crowell and successfully completed each task.

<img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> I believe that it must have been one of the most nerve racking things that he has done in a while as his hands were shaking so much upon completion that he could hardly hold the knife still enough for a picture.

Congratulations, Frank! Well done.

I wasn't aware that Rick had tested but Chuck took some pictures of Frank's testing and I will be glad to post them when he gets them processed.

Hi guys, Frank Campbell here. Gary was right, the test was one of the most nerve racking experiences I have had in a while. I had been waiting two years for

that moment and was cool as a cucumber up until the last few minutes beforehand. Nerves are funny like that. I very much appreciate Jim agreeing to test me

there and Gary allowing it. I also appreciate all the friendly advice from Gary, Jim, Brion, Ray, Steve and everyone else that helped me out. It is people

like all of you that make me proud to belong to the ABS. I have a few months, hopefully until the second attack of nerves is due. I

will probably get on all of your nerves before then <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> k Anyway, thanks to all of you for all of your help and god bless. Frank

Congradulations Frank. I was so nervous, when I tested, that I had to sit down and take a break half way through the test.
