This is simply a heads-up to all makers planning on attending that this year (Sept. 28/29) there will be two new awards (in addition to the existing categories of hunter, Bowie, damascus & folder). There will be awards this year for "Best Fighter" & Best Sword". I was asked to add the category of "Best Sword" while at The Arkansas Show and agreed on the stipulation that at least three makers would have swords to enter into the competition which has been met. Any style of sword is eligible that has a minimum of a 28" blade. Also, this year the "Best of Show" award will be judged from the winners of the other categories which will make all submitted knives eligible. [Cutting Champion will receive the traditional Teddy Bear.]
