Hi Folks,

I've been looking around for some 1" manila rope. It's not as easy to find as I wish. Where do you guys get it? I found some three stand stuff on eBay at 30¢/ft (if I buy 600ft for $200). The shipping would kill me too.

Thanks for any ideas!

Phil

If you dont go with ebay, you'll have to check at an old fashioned hardware store. They might order it for you. Here in Arkansas 1 inch is anywhere from .75 to a dollar a foot. Lin

Phil,

Do you have anyone local that carries wire rope, cable, or rigging supplies? My local rigging supply carries it.

You can order it from MCS Industrial Supply. Here is a link for it.

There's a lifting and rigging company here in Atlanta that sells anything from .375" up to 2" manila rope.

Bairstow lifting products.

Not the cheapest by foot but very reasonable for a whole coil

I know this is an old thread, but having just gone on a rope hunt I figured I would let you guys know a good place to get it. I just got 30' of 1'' manilla rope for under $30 after shipping. I put the order in at night it shipped the next day fed-ex and got here in a couple of days. Here is who I used: http://www.knotandrope.com/Store/pc/Manila-Rope-c3.htm

Allen,

Thanks so much! That was a great link. I just got 30" of the 1" manila rope for $28 shipped, and it took about 2 minutes. I would recommend it as well.
