Today at around 1:30 I passed my Journeyman Smith Performance Test under the watchful eye of Master Smith Brion Tomberlin. My blade passed flawlessly.
The blade was made from Aldo's 80CRV2, full quench and spine drawn back to blue.
A very special Thank You to MS Brion Tomberlin who was also one of my instructors at the ABS school in Washington Arkansas. And to MS Mike Williams who
was my other instructor.
Thank you for your time and watchful instructing. I will still be needing help.

Thanks to all for your support. The only advice I can give anyone thinking about going for the performance test, is do your homework and learn your steel, take the time to test your heat treats,
buy some rope and 2x4 boards, good ones not the white wood or fir, get the pine 2x4s and go to work and practice and test. Only then will you have the confidence to pass. You may still be anxious
about yourself but the confidence you have in your blade will help you overcome it once you start. Good luck to all.
Thanks again.

Congratulations Anthony! I knew you wouldn't have a problem at all.

Thanks, as classmates at the ABS school and friends, I know you will do well to when you get ready to test. If I can help in any way let me know.
Thanks
Anthony
Congrats Anthony,
I too will be testing soon. I have made a commitment to getting the job done so I let everyone know that the only thing I will be working on is passing my JS test. I'm making and testing knives as we speak and, of course, adding the results to my "Knife Book". I have the steel, rope, and 2x4s on hand and when I get repeatable results I'll take the plunge. Wish me luck. Then it's all about the presentation knives. I hope to see you at Blade in June. Keep in touch brother.
