I'm interested in taking my js test but don't know how long I have been a member of the abs. How do I find out how long I have been a member and do you have to be member for 3 consecutive years before testing or can they be broken up. I think I let membership lapse for a while.

Thanks for the help, jake

Any ABS member can login to the ABS Website wiith their user name and password and view their detailed membership information on their personal Profile Page. You will see your ABS Join Date, Membership Type, and current Membership Expiration Date. In addition, we designed the Profile Page so that members could update any changes in their address, telephone number, or email address.

When you login to the ABS Website you will see that you joined the ABS on June 16, 2012. Sally took the time to look it up for you tonight.

I have all of the rules for Journeyman Smith Testing and Judging posted on the ABS Website at, click: JS Testing

The three (3) years are consecutive. It is two (2) years if a member has taken the two week Introduction to Bladesmithing course at an ABS school.
