The fall Piney Woods Hammer-In is this sat. and sun.

You smiths; ladies and gentlemen both, who are seriously interested in testing for a MS or JS stamp; this is your last good chance before the Blade Show in June. If you wait till the spring hammer-in you will almost certainly run out of time before Atlanta except for the most minor of corrections.

This weekend will give you the opportunity to have a minimum of 6 mastersmiths review your work and pass on any recommendations. You will have a good amount of time to make any needed changes and then get it rechecked this spring; without getting into that last minute panic mode before Atlanta. Talk to the smiths who tried to do major overhauls in their work in that short time; most of them and their families did not enjoy it.

If the knives look good and pass muster you can cruise through the holidays and hunting season with a big ol' smile on your face.
