Arrangements for the Mid America are underway and many are registering for this hammer-in online in the store on the ABS website. I was in contact with BR Hughes today and he and Carolyn are looking forward to seeing everyone at the event. BR said: " The folks with SOFA are so cooperative and eager to help, that it is a genuine pleasure to go to Troy and enjoy SOFA's wonderful facilities at the Miami Fairgrounds. Looking at the schedule, I can see that we are going to have some terrific demonstrations!"
I just received the proof for the event T-Shirts and Jim Batson called and approved the design for the 6th Mid America Symposium and Knife Show which features knives by Master Smiths and event Demonstrators Joe Keeslar and Kevin Cashen. This is the T-shirt for Mid America:

I am receiving telephone calls and emails about registration for the Mid America which is set for August 27, 28, and 29 in Troy, Ohio. Pre-Registration for this event online has now closed but you will be able to pay the $55.00 registration fee at the registration table at the event in Troy, Ohio and attend the Hammer-In. I remove the option to pre-register online a few days before an ABS event so that we have enough time to finish processing the list of pre-registered attendees and send that list to the event location.
Judging by the number that have already pre-registered this will be a great event. We always have room for more to attend and look forward to seeing you in Ohio.

A Great Mid America Hammer-In
The 6th Mid America Hammer-In this weekend in Troy, Ohio was a very successful event with record attendance. We want to thank our hosts at SOFA who always make us feel welcome and at home at their well equipped facility. The demonstrators were outstanding and included Kevin Cashen, Joe Kesslar, Dr. Jim Batson, B.R. Hughes, Carolyn Hughes, Russ Andrews, Daniel Warren, Butch Sheely, and Bill Wiggins. Everyone was welcomed and assisted at the registration table by Cindy Sheely and Sally Cassidy. The family of Laura and Steve Hostetler served a delicious lunch each day at the Exhibition Hall. Kent and Paula Hepworth did an outstanding job capturing the demonstrations on film for our DVD library and ABS store.

Anyone know when and where will the videos that were filmed there be available?

Seth:
It usually takes a few months for the videos filmed at ABS Hammer-Ins by Kent Hepworth to be edited and copied to DVD's. After that the ABS Merchandise Manager decides which if any of the DVD's will be made available for purchase in the ABS store.
As soon as I am notified that we have new merchandise for the ABS store I will make them available on the ABS website.
